We have traveled to more than 60 countries, but if we could tell you what place we know the most, it is our city

Are you a solo traveller coming to Prague searching for places where to stay? You have found the right place. I was born in Prague and have been living here my entire life. I know all the best districts, and where to stay and will try to help you.

I have divided these places where to stay in Prague for solo travellers into several categories such as Old Town, Lesser Town, for nightlife, on a budget, with rooftop, luxurious, and more…

You can jump directly to your desired category:

Things to Know about Prague Accommodation

  1. Prague is divided into 22 numbered districts. The higher the number, the greater the distance from the city center. (For instance – Prague 1 is the city center, Prague 8 is further away).
  2. In general, accommodation is more expensive in the city center and cheaper further away.
  3. Prague’s public transport is great (one of the best in the world), therefore it’s pretty easy and quick to get basically from any district to the city center.
  4. In general, all areas in Prague are safe to stay in and walk around at night (always follow basic safety rules – beware of pickpocketing, etc.).
